The highly anticipated trailer of Salman Khan‘s Tiger Zinda Hai was released yesterday (November 7). In no time the espionage thriller became a trending topic across all social media platforms. Tiger Zinda Hai’s trailer clocked 16 million views on Youtube in 24 hours and has beaten Shah Rukh Khan’s Raees, which had received 12.7 million views in a single day. Though Salman has shattered SRK’s trailer record in 24 hours, it’ll be interesting to see how quick the Dabangg actor will beat Raees box office records post its release on December 22.
Shah Rukh Khan‘s Raees, which clashed with Hrithik Roshan‘s Kaabil at the box office, took six days to enter the coveted club of Rs 100 crore. Since Salman Khan’s Tiger Zinda Hai is enjoying a solo release, followed by the extended weekend of Christmas and New Year, we can expect it to achieve the feat in its first three days itself. While Raees collected Rs 137.51 crore during its theatrical run, Tiger Zinda Hai is anticipated to at least achieve the Rs 200 or Rs 250 crore mark at the box office. While the first part – Ek Tha Tiger was helmed by Kabir Khan, Tiger Zinda Hai is directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, who has previously directed films like Sultan, Gunday and Mere Brother Ki Dulhan. Touted to be one of the most expensive Bollywood films, Tiger Zinda is set to hit the screens on December 22. It is officially the last release of 2017.
