Abhishek Kapoor recently announced on Twitter that Kedarnath starring Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan, will release on December 21, 2018. That means the filmmaker doesn’t seem fazed by the clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s dwarf film which is also releasing around the same time. In fact, at a time when everyone wants to avert such big clashes, Abhishek is trying to defend the release date in an interview to Asian Age saying many big films have clashed in the past. Well, now we hear the director and producer Prernaa Arora are not on the same page regarding the issue and things between them have turned bitter.
Talking to Asian Age, Abhishek had said, “I see no problem in releasing Kedarnath on the same Friday as the Anand film with Shah Rukh. Two big films being released on the same Friday is not uncommon anymore. There are only 52 Fridays to choose from. There are bound to be clashes. Why not see the co-existence of two films on the same Friday as a chance for the audience to see two good films? I am pretty sure Kedarnath and the other film will find their audience.” Sources close to Kriraj Entertainment told us that Prernaa Arora is in no mood to comply with what Abhishek is saying. They already had a big showdown post which they are not on talking terms. Prernaa is really upset with the way Abhishek is speaking out of turn about the release date issue.
Industry experts believe that this clash will not happen at all. Kedarnath’s release date will move because no one would want to clash with Shah Rukh Khan.
